Labuan Bajo Trip Packages
A Labuan Bajo trip has one fixed centrepiece: the boat into Komodo National Park. Everything else, flights, hotels, the extra day for caves and sunsets, arranges itself around it. So instead of selling bloated bundles, we package the part that matters and help you plan the rest for free on WhatsApp.
The three packages
Same islands, three formats. Pick by time and by how much you want the boat to be part of the story.
- The One Day Wonder. A speedboat day trip covering Padar, Pink Beach, the dragon trek, Taka Makassar, and Manta Point. From IDR 1,450,000 per person. Best for tight itineraries. See the day trip.
- The Slow Route. Three days and two nights on a phinisi liveaboard: sunrise Padar before the crowds, flying foxes at dusk, quieter snorkel sites, cabins and meals on board. From IDR 6,500,000 per person. See the liveaboard.
- The Whole Boat. A private 3D2N charter. Your group, your route, your schedule. IDR 120,000,000 per boat, which splits well for groups of six or more. See the charter.
A sample four-day plan
Day 1. Land at Komodo Airport by late afternoon. The harbour is ten minutes away; our airport guide saves you the taxi overcharge. Sunset from a hilltop bar, early night.
Day 2 (and 3, if sailing). The boat. Day trippers do the full loop and are back for dinner. Liveaboard guests board mid-morning and spend two nights in the park.
Final day. Rangko cave, the night market, or nothing at all. Fly out in the afternoon. If you have spare days, Wae Rebo village and Kelimutu's coloured lakes are the two add-ons worth the drive; both are covered on the blog.
What we deliberately do not bundle
Flights and hotels. Labuan Bajo has everything from IDR 200K guesthouses to five-star resorts, and you will pick better for yourself than any bundle does. Park fees are government-set and paid at the park; we tell you the current amounts before you book. The full numbers live in the trip cost guide.
When to come
May to early October for the calmest seas, with June, July, and September the sweet spot. September is our honest pick: July weather, thinner crowds. Details in the best time guide and the Komodo tour overview.
Frequently asked questions
What does a Labuan Bajo trip package include?
Ours include the boat, crew, meals on board, snorkel gear, and hotel pickup where the tour lists it. Flights, hotels, and national park fees are separate. We keep it that way on purpose: bundled flights and hotels usually cost you more, not less.
How many days do you need in Labuan Bajo?
Three to four days works for most people: arrival day, one or three days on the water depending on the boat you pick, and a buffer day for the town, Rangko cave, or just the sunset. Add two days if you want Wae Rebo or Kelimutu.
How much should I budget for a Labuan Bajo trip?
Beyond flights, a comfortable mid-range visit runs roughly IDR 2.5M to 4M per day per person including a day trip, hotel, and meals. The boat is the biggest single line item. Our trip cost guide has the full breakdown.
Can I customise a package?
Yes. The private charter is fully custom by definition, and on day trips we can adjust pickup times and add stops when the route allows. Tell us your dates and group on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly which format fits.
Do you offer honeymoon or family packages?
The same three boats cover both. Honeymooners usually take the liveaboard or a private charter with the sunrise Padar hike; families with kids under eight usually take the day trip or a charter so they control the pace. We will say plainly which one suits you.
