1Trekking Β· 815 stairs Β· 400 m above sea level
The famous 3-bay viewpoint of Komodo. Hike 30β45 minutes to the summit to see white, black and pink sand beaches in one frame. The most photographed spot in the park.
2Snorkeling Β· one of only 7 pink beaches on Earth
Sand tinted pink by crushed red coral mixed with white sand. Snorkel right off the beach over vibrant reef β the first snorkel stop of the day.
3Wildlife Β· medium trek ~2.5 km Β· ~1.5 hours
Home of the Komodo dragons β the world's largest living lizards. A park ranger walks you through dragon territory at Loh Liang. Real dragons, real jungle, not a zoo.
4Swim + photo Β· crescent sandbar
A tiny crescent of white sand that emerges from the turquoise sea at low tide. Swim, sunbathe and take the iconic drone shot in the middle of the Flores Sea.
5Drift snorkel Β· manta rays (AprβNov peak)
One of central Komodo's most famous cleaning stations. Drift over the reef while oceanic manta rays cruise beneath you β the gentle giants of the park.
6Snorkeling Β· coral garden + sea turtles
Our favourite snorkel of the day β a sheltered coral garden home to green sea turtles and schooling fish. Calm water, a peaceful close to the trip.

This is the Komodo day trip we send our friends on. A shared speedboat from Labuan Bajo, 6 of the most photographed spots in Indonesia, and a guide who actually knows the captains. You'll be back in town by sunset with a camera roll that doesn't need a filter.
We curate this trip with a well-run local operator β newer speedboats, certified English-speaking guides, and the kind of safety standards we'd put our own family on. Asik Travel curates the schedule, handles your hotel pickup, walks you through Komodo National Park entrance fees (paid at the park, foreign rate ~IDR 400,000 / Indonesian rate ~IDR 200,000 β we tell you exactly), and is one WhatsApp message away the whole day.
This is the right pick if you have one day in Labuan Bajo, you don't want to spend the night on a boat, and you want to see as much of Komodo National Park as physically possible between sunrise and sunset.
Day 106:30 β 17:00
Hotel pickup
Our driver meets you at your hotel in central Labuan Bajo and shuttles you to the harbour. A short briefing, life jackets, and you're on the boat.
Depart for Padar Island
Settle in on the speedboat for the ~75-minute ride out. Watch the islands appear one by one. Coffee and tea on board.
Padar Island summit hike
The famous 3-bay viewpoint. 30β45 minutes up. Take photos that make people back home jealous, then carefully back down.
Pink Beach
One of seven pink-sand beaches on Earth β the colour comes from crushed red coral mixed with white sand. Snorkel directly off the beach over thriving reef.
Komodo Island & dragons
Land at Loh Liang ranger station. A park ranger walks you through dragon territory β they're real, they're huge, they're not in a zoo. You'll see deer, wild boar, and birds too.
Lunch on Komodo Island
Freshly prepared Indonesian lunch (rice, grilled fish or chicken, vegetables, fruit) at the ranger station overlooking the harbour. Vegetarian on request.
Taka Makasar sandbar
A tiny crescent of sand that emerges from the sea at low tide. Swim in turquoise water, take the iconic drone shot, and breathe.
Manta Point
Drift snorkel where oceanic manta rays cruise the cleaning station. AprilβNovember is high season. We follow the captain's signal β when he spots fins, you jump in.
Turtle Bay
Green sea turtles glide through warm, sheltered water. The calmest snorkel of the day, and a peaceful close.
Return to Labuan Bajo
Speedboat back to the harbour. Your driver is waiting to drop you at your hotel. Hot shower, sunset dinner, and an early night earned.
